Super Visa

Canadian citizens can use the Family Sponsorship program to help their family members immigrate to Canada and become permanent residents. This program includes the Family Class sponsorship and the Super Visa program, which allow Canadian citizens to bring their parents and grandparents to Canada. To be eligible for the Super Visa program, you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be a parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
• You must have a signed letter of invitation from your child or grandchild, which includes a promise of financial support for the duration of your visit, a list and number of people in the household, and a copy of their Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document.
• You must have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company.
