A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), commonly known as a visitor visa, is an immigration document that grants foreign nationals permission to enter and travel within Canada. This visa is specifically for individuals who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents, but have been legally authorized to enter the country.

Visitor visas are granted for various reasons, such as tourism, visiting family, or conducting business in Canada.

The duration of stay for visitors with a temporary visa is typically up to six months. However, border authorities may choose to extend or shorten the duration of the visa depending on individual circumstances. This information will be recorded on the visitor’s passport, specifying the date on which they must depart from Canada.
